Terms & Conditions
Mooring/hardstanding charges are payable in advance and are non-refundable.
Highway Marine (Northbank) does not provide residential moorings and allocates moorings on a year-by-year basis.
Anyone more than 1 month in arrears with their mooring payment will be craned out until payment is made. The owner will be liable for cranage charges and a mooring will be re-allocated only if available.
If a mooring/hardstanding remains unpaid after 6 months, the boat will be sold to recover the charges.
Cranage is payable in advance and all lifting must be arranged through Highway Marine (Northbank).
Outside contractors must report to Highway Marine Ltd. for gate details, and produce public liability insurance details before entering the site. See our BMF Terms Of Business.
A 1% yard fee will be charged for the sale of craft on our premises which is not sold through Highway Marine Ltd.
Minimum 6 metre LOA charge applies to all work, cranage and moorings.
All charges are calculated on LOA of vessel, including all davits, bowsprit etc. to the nearest metre above.
Prior to mast work by Highway Marine (Northbank), sails and boom are to be removed, electrics unplugged, and seized rigging screws unlocked by the owner.
Additional assistance by yard staff £34.00 per hour.
No boat lifting on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Highway Marine (Northbank) reserves the right to rescind a mooring, or remove from the hardstanding anyone behaving unacceptably. One week’s notice will be given and only full months will be refunded.
Highway Marine (Northbank) reserves the right to use any unoccupied moorings while boats are ashore or away from their berth. The mooring will be made immediately available to the berth holder on request.
Highway Marine (Northbank) takes no responsibility for any damage caused by owners moving, or adjusting, blocks/cradles set up by our staff.
Yachts being stored ashore, must have all the sails removed and stowed in such a way that they cannot unfold and flog in strong winds.
On launching a boat if mooring lines are not found onboard, or are inadequate to safely tie up a boat, new lines will be supplied at the owners cost. This applies to any lines that are found to be chaffing through or inadequate during a routine inspection, this avoids boats coming adrift and causing damage to other boats.
