Description:

The Foxcub 18 is an 18’ masthead sloop designed by Uffa Fox and built in fiberglass by Copland Boats (UK) between 1972 and 1984. 650 units were built. The Foxcub 18 is a light sailboat which is a reasonably good performer. It is stable/stiff and has a low righting capability if capsized. It is best suited as a day-boat.

 

Engine(s) & Electrical:

Mercury 5hp, 4-stroke Sailmate. Last serviced: 2021. Fuel capacity: 2 x 20 litres. Single battery charged from the engine. Solar panel charging the battery.

 

Accommodation & Below Deck:

2 berths, sitting headroom, lined cabin.

 

Deck & Canvas:

Masthead sloop, aluminium spars, rope running rigging (new in 2019), mainsail, genoa, stanchions, guardwires, timberwork replaced in 2019.

 

Navigation & Safety:

VHF, GPS, echsounder.

 

Miscellaneous:

Mooring in Sandwich, Kent paid until 28.02.24 and available by separate negotiation.
